I noticed this so I started taking the heaviest stuff out of the cart first and I take the perishable stuff out last. Sometimes I actually repack it in front of them if they don't pack it correctly.

Brainless gaming addicts who bag your groceries don't understand gravity- you've got to be relentless in explaining how to properly bag groceries, or they'll never learn- mention it to the staff supervisor too- " My groceries keep getting squashed because of improper bagging by your staff- is there anything that can be done? Be proactive in combating Vancouver's BS laid back " whatever " culture. Trust me it has an impact.

This is one of those times that I seriously wish for the good old days! What passes for customer service or even basic competence in stores now is hard to comprehend. I’m blown away by how phenomenally pathetic most clerks are now in grocery stores. Oh sure, there are a few good ones amongst the masses, but by far the abilities and attitude of the majority is appalling. Don’t waste your time telling me that anyone making minimum wage is entitled to be an idiot! As a young woman I also did my time making minimum wage. If I’d been as incompetent and rude as so many of them are now, I’d never have made it past my first day. I guess the store owners just think that we have to eat so we have to shop there. Managing down our expectations is well underway.
