Adventure

I just came back from Brazil and the men were chasing after me and my friends in the streets. Everyone was so friendly and the Latin men are so sexy. Its such an open culture. Men danced with me in the street to street music and they could dance and move their hips. I consider myself an ok dancer but I had trouble keeping up. Its more of a traditional society where men are expected to be men. I offered to pay for my drinks and meals and not a single man let me. They considered it an insult. Even the conversations were amazing with both the men and the women. They had this amazing zest for life and asked me about Canada and its place in the world. I had this amazing adventure and high and once off the plane I was so depressed. Not a single man smiled at me or even offered to open the door for me. Nobody dresses up here either. Conversations are very awkward here. I asked a guy a question and he was like "huh huh" and gave me a mean look. I just asked a question. It was nice to feel wanted for a change and I think I will look for a Latin man here.

Move to Brazil then. Don't let the door hit you on your way out.
I'm also secretly dreaming of moving there, where you can sexually assault women by getting then drunk, with no impunity. Also, chicks suntan topless, unlike here, in prudish Vancouver...
ps : I am being sarcastic, of course

Cue the gender wars. I do feel bad for men in Vancouver, though. Indeed, they are demanding. I think it's a reflection of the demands of women in Vancouver (asking if they own or rent, or what kind of car they drive). So men walk around town chronically feeling like they don't measure up. As a result, the presence of a woman who wants to chat is not enough to make men here happy. They need more than that. They are so tapped out that they need a guarantee that they will get laid at the end of the first date before they will proceed with a conversation with a woman. They can't afford to spend time having a conversation with a woman if they're not getting anything in return. The end result is a city full of unhappy people who are suspicious of each other's intentions.

I understand

Vancouver women want to be courted and treated as ladies, and I do understand the frustration about Vancouver men; however, ladies, you need to have standards instead of entertaining mediocrity and sleeping with men too soon. There are good men who are husband material across Canada, but they don't settle for cheap women.....

And why do you think that is?

But the Patriarchy, but the toxic masculinity....but the gender roles and the lack of equality. But the feminist women movement, but the sensitivity of what you can and cannot say..I have been there, and the roles are played out accordingly, where men can be men and the women can be women...maybe, just maybe, people will see we all have our roles to play without the constant need to make everything the same but still be equals, and to be thought of as different with equally great in our differences..

So naive. You’re very lucky to be in one piece... Brazil is one of the most violent and misogynistic countries in the world, woman! Are you that thick!? Yeah, best you look for a Latin man, good idea.

This confession reads a lot like the one by the 4 foot lover and the older man lover.
