Balding

My hair is starting to thin on the back of my scalp and I’m beginning to think I’m going bald. I have mixed feelings about male pattern baldness. Don’t know if I should invest in some rogane to grow it more thicker. Or just let it fall out and sport the George Costanza look.

Shave it

Shave it all off. I did it years ago when I started going bald, and I get lots of compliments on my (lack of) hair.

From what I know you're going to go that way and forget about trying to stop it.

All the best.

Anything but

...the Costanza look! Shaving your whole head looks better in my opinion.

Well..

Kind of is what it is.. if it isn't too bad Rogaine might help for awhile..

My hair thinned awhile ago, balding spot at back and receding hairline up front. I just keep it cut short. I keep myself in shape, and am lucky in other areas such as height. I still have women flirt with me.. would i be better looking ten years ago when I could groelw long luscious hair? Probably, but then I had women reject me back then so I don't think it is a deciding factor.

Yes it kind of sucks and is an indicator you aren't a young kid anymore. But I'd just focus on other stuff. And keep it short or shave it rather than the George costanza look..

I wouldn't dwell on it.. men aren't supposed to be vain and hung up on looks. But I hear ya, bit of a bummer when it happens.

... at your diet. Everyone thinks they eat well and we have been abused by a Corporate/University system that says everything is "genetic" as an excuse to sell pharmaceuticals to people who in some cases just have nutritional problems. It's very unlikely that a "genetic" defect only emerges at age 30 or whatever.

I had a full, thick head of hair until I developed an eating disorder for a number of years---in fact, anorexia causes hair loss, so it follows that a diet sufficient in all but one nutrient (or two, etc.) could cause hair loss.

Really look at your diet. Try different things.

Cut it real close and have done. This will save you an eternity of maintenance and a fortune in hair products.
I've cut my own hair since I got out of the army decades ago. Easy to do well once you get the practice of it.
The ability to roll out of bed and get on with whatever needs doing is priceless.

Rock it!

Shave your head and go to the gym. If you are in fit & confident, you will be attractive. Don't waste money on rogain etc. Just build up some muscles and rock it!

Hmmm

if you are not too bald you could consider microblading. It’s like tiny tiny tattoos to cover the bald spot(s). My female boss did it for her eyebrows and it’s so real like hair. It is semi permanent requiring touch up though after a few years as it starts to slowly fade.

I’m 51 and I have the exact same thick curly matt of hair i had at 18. It’s really great, lots of compliments. Other than a sprinkling of grey that is just now coming in, which makes it even nicer, nothing has changed. Nothing! And It has made zero difference in the attention I get from women. They comment on it a lot, but if other qualities - personality, temperament, kindness, integrity - aren’t there, your hair isn’t going to save the day. I figure, to women nice hair is just a fringe (get it) benefit that comes with a great guy. Nice if it’s there, but fine if it’s not. Do the Bruce Willis look.
