I Don’t Wanna See NO SCRUBS
posted September 30th, 2018 at 6:25 PM
I’m disturbed anytime I ride transit (either the Canadaline or 99 B-Line) towards VGH and see nurses WEARING THEIR SCRUBS to and from work. Dragging who knows what into who knows where... Were these educated folks sleeping during “Germ Theory 101” Do they not have change rooms at work? Our healthcare system is... falling apart thanks to “educated”, diploma-holding, careless idiots.

You complained about this before. My answer still hasn't changed- you assume those in scrubs work in germ-y settings. They might be a medical office assistant, work at a vets or a massage therapist etc. Don't jump to conclusions

"Being “old school,” I don’t like to see people wearing scrubs outside of the hospital. But there is no evidence that bacteria on scrubs spread disease, and a large number of ancillary hospital personnel wear scrubs."
Google is your friend. Unless you're too stupid to use it. I bet you even have a diploma in microbiology, eh...

How on earth would you do an experiment to determine this?
This is just common sense---even if you're just working in a doctor's office as a medical receptionist, the clothes you wear there shouldn't be worn on the bus, you should change into something, work, then change again.

I’ve worked in hotels where I’ve seen the Chef rip into someone wearing their pants and jackets from home for that same reason.

If you don't like it...get a car. Or don't leave your bubble.
Who cares?

Hey man, I work in recreation and I wear my uniform to and from work. What’s the big frickin deal? Nothing to better to complain about? Just live and let live.
Its ok

Im sure people wearing scrubs have a lot more to worry about than the petty, immature musings of a message board lurker.

Change into bus clothes, work, change back into bus clothes, change into home clothes, bleach your bus clothes. Your work clothes are fine.
