Lots of Anger on Confessions

I seen on Reddit some one say there is a lot of anger on here and some one else say you will realize posting anger on websites gets you no where. Well BS it saves me from blowing up at the stupid drivers on the freeway. No common sense at all anymore. Think about it if everyone leaves huge gaps between them goes 90 in every lane. There is no dam flow. We ain’t getting another revamp of the freeway anytime soon. More gaps means more back ups. It only takes one dumb ass in the travel lane doing 90 to cause traffic and other people that can drive over 90 without crashing to cut in and out of lanes. So now this on drivers action is causing multiple reactions that don’t need to happen is that one driver would go in the right hand lanes. Aka slow lanes. Same with the hov why lane block go in the slow lane. Use your head and just move over, use your turn signals , don’t go infront of someone in the fast lane who is doing 120 and go 90. The USA has lots more drivers and guess what it’s law to stay out of the travel lane unless passing . People are just stupid . While I’m on a roll just want to say thanks to the greedy developers and political officials that are quickly destroying vancouvers beauty more so the west end. Also the valley like Langley it was a beautiful sub burb had lots of eagles and deer along 200 th street. Now none . Mankind has never evolved we are now just bigger savages.

I don't...

... hit the freeways that often, but the last time I did, I was with a driver who...she just sat in the passing lane. I could feel the drivers behind us staring at us. Looked in the mirror, there they are. She was totally oblivious. I mean, how does such a person function every day, being that oblivious? I didn't say anything, don't be a backseat driver, but it was really worrying that she was (a) so insensitive to environment and (b) so poorly trained. This woman was a "professional" in a large international organization. Jobs, how do they work?

there is no such thing as common sense.

Free will is a myth.

We're monkey's with language. Come to terms with that and you will be fine.

Pet peeves!

I love driving and one of the biggest irritants on the roads are those people who have no clue how to do it. Seriously there are some people that should just be taking the bus. If you don’t comprehend the rules of the road, stay off the road! The freeway is terrible. Fast lane hogs who are too oblivious to move over (including big rigs who should know better!), people not signalling, cutting off others, etc. Far too many terrible drivers around here.

Seriously

Common sense is not the name of a flower that blossoms in your garden.

Passing lane; NOT fast lane

Oct 24, 2018 at 8:04am

I agree that the passing lane is for passing. But, the maximum speed at which one should be travelling is the maximum speed posted. Beyond that, it is illegal to speed and endanger everyone else. If the reason for someone to sit in the passing lane is to prevent someone else from speeding, then I am all for it. Too bad for the speeders; they are just scofflaws.

@Free will is a myth.

Free will can be a myth, that's fine, but there is still a correct use for the passing lane. All that saying free will is a myth means is that we didn't freely choose the correct rules, they were revealed to us and we used them because, lo, they made life easier.

The problem is people who deny the revelation of truth, who insist on their own particular frame, like sitting in the passing lane, oblivious to everything.

Just because people have no free will does not mean people cannot be trained; a river doesn't have free will, we can dam it, redirect it, etc. And even if we don't have free will, it doesn't matter that we're not choosing to dam the river, we're still capable of doing it.

A big part of this is, for example, I was too timid to "be a backseat driver," even tho this person clearly had no idea how to drive. So, my fault for not correcting her. We all fail to correct people many times a day, let them behave poorly because we're too timid. That's what school does to people, makes them timid and submissive.
