out with the old, in with the new

I'm glad that certain school trustees who are against SOGI 123 and LGBTQ education didn't win the municipal election in my city. There is no way in hell that I would ever elect a bunch of arrogant, bigoted homophobes to shove the bible down everyone's throats. I'm not a teacher, but if my students were gay or lesbian, I would never ever turn them away or exclude them. It's personality that counts, not gender. I'm not a parent either, but I'd love my children unconditionally. Seems like christianity is becoming an obsolete thing of the past.

and I totally get where those people are coming from. I don't want people telling my kids how they should think about gender from a communist moral agenda.

Hang on

Not all religious people are against SOGIE. It is true that the loudmouth, harsh, anti-fun Christians are very loud and influential on American politics at this time, but they can't speak for the entire body of believers.

The people against sogi are against confusion in children and not homophobes. Don’t be ignorant

Hold on there OP

I don't entirely disagree with what you're saying. But the progressive, far-left, snowflake, PC, identity politicians are worse in my opinion.

I hate both ends of the spectrum, but if I HAD to choose, I'd take the ignorant far-right I'm afraid.

There's a degree of ignorance in that far-left-leaning PC bullshit that is just too smug for my taste. It's easier to ignore the far-right.

Almost all 'far right' boundary pushers are performance artists who at most get a bit caught up in their own act. And the implication of all far-right freedom of thought/speech is that their freedom to be wild and crazy protects your freedom to be what you think is right, too. It's not like with the authoritarian left where failure to adhere to the current fashion is seen as heavy deviancy.

What a bigoted arrogant confession by the op.

You do know there are close to 4 billion people who's religious values don't accept this type of behaviour as normal.?

Are you going to rid the planet of them too?

You don't know what the word "bigoted" means and the OP never said they wanted to rid the planet of anyone.

It is not bigoted to think that other people hold harmful and wrong moral beliefs. However, it is bigoted to think gay people are bad just for being gay (and that a lot of people believe this doesn't make it right.)
Come on, this is not hard folks.
