Public Transit

I would really like to know how Translink can justify increases in fares if they can't even get drivers who know the difference between a bus that is actually full or a bus full of selfish jerks who wont move back. I catch the bus at a crossroad. BOTH buses go past 'full' at least 3 times a week, yet when u look inside them as they blast past you... the back is always empty! Always. Do I have to start filiming this before Translink will believe me? Cause I have tried to complain and I am really tired of telling my boss I'm gonna be late because of the buses. And yes I do catch an early one, but so does everyone else in an effort to get to work and school on time.

... blame the driver. If he doesn't do it, I do it, and most people act like they can't hear me. Whether this is because they don't speak English, are deaf from having headphones in or are just inconsiderate lusers, who knows.

It's not the bus driver's fault. It's because our culture has degenerated to the point that large number of people (who seem to have arrived in the last few decades...hrmm...) no longer give a fuck about anyone but themselves. It's a sort of "man eat dog" worldview that has been imported.

@ Don't
Bus drivers are quite capable of getting the masses to move.
I've been on the bus a few times were the driver has stood up and loudly said "If you don't move neither does the bus!"
Works like a charm.
I have contacted Translink Customer Service Feedback with a commendation for all of those amazing drivers!!
So yeah, it IS partly the driver's fault.

That is really not something we should expect a driver to do. The problem is people who only respond to threats of that sort. They'll move if he's threatening to inconvenience them, if that doesn't happen, they don't care. Such people are not sociable creatures fit for Canadian society. If anything, this proves my point. They have a psychopathic disregard for others, the only way to get them to act like humans is to threaten them.

Oh, guess who I never see blocking the bus up! "street people" from the DTES!

Knows a bus driver

The bus driver job is to drive the bus. There a plenty of translink cops that could be doing this cuz they do pretty much f... all i would say. Bus drivers want to get thru the day without killing someone or getting assaulted. OP should really think this thru unless u have never driven before the u cant.

You can't even see from the driver's seat whether the bus is full or just packed at the front. Blame the passengers who won't move back, not the driver.

sometimes it's been full in a part before and a lot of people gotten off and now it's late. so it's trying to catch up. let them do their jobs.
