Rats

Vancouver is infested. I see them running across the street and running across the top of the back fence. Two years ago our daughter brought home two adorable kittens, to date they have killed 215 rats...... sometimes they kill 2 in one day. ^..^

....organics recycling. No one has yet figured out a way for people to dispose of food waste without attracting rodents.

An excess of vermin

Just imagine if they could sense and kill all the rats that take human form... Housing problem solved.
Also, i'd like cats a lot better again.
On the other hand, LM would be depopulated by at least 20pct and the politicians would pass legislation to protect themselves (as ever). And I'd have something useful to smuggle.
I confess I rather like that last part. Kitten smuggler, mwahhahahaha...

How many song birds have they killed?
Urban cats should be kept indoors.

No escape

Gulf Islands, Vancouver Island, all totally infested as well.
No food or garbage, no barbecue grease, no crumbs, nothing can be left outside, even covered. They can eat right through resin compost bins. You can't leave the door open for a second either at this time of year.
One got in last fall and I ended up in a 3 day siege with the thing locked in my pantry. It kicked off every trap I put out. It ate everything. It even tried to chew it's way out of the closet. When it started banging the closet doors at 3am, I thought I was in a Stephen King movie.
Anyway, I won, but it was ugly.

Sweet. Thanks for getting a grip on the rat problem in the city. I got a few rats here running across the fence or around the house. Not many though that I know of. Had to kill one that nested in my BBQ last winter. THAT was fun LOL Strong buggers. I have a family of 'coons that cross my fence nightly. They help keep my rat problem at bay.

Rats!

I live in the westend. Bought a big ass trap and killed two the first night!

Rats, skunks, raccoons, coyotes, deer, and a mama bear and cub all sighted in my far north East Van neighbourhood.
