Never been to a gym in Vancouver but I can imagine with how pushy and self absorbed vancouverites are it must be pretty socially awkward in there

Where are these rude and pushy people of whom you speak? I have been going to gyms for 35 years and have not seen anyone who wasn't there to get fit, and who wasn't part of the community of people who want to get fit. I've been spotted, advised, helped countless times. It is the least dramatic environment I know of.

But I've only worked out at Gold's, Bally's, Spartacus, and the Vancouver rec centre gyms...conceivably things are much worse at other chains
