They can’t help themselves. Like heroin, nicotine etc. they are ADDICTED! I feel bad for them. Still a bunch of sheep though...

Went to see Jack White at Rogers Arena a few months ago and everyone has to put their phones into little magnetic sealed bags so they couldn't be used during his show. It was awesome! Wish they'd make people do that in the cinema too - I've stopped going because I was fed up of people being on their phones during the movie. Unbelievably rude and selfish!

ban and enforce their ban on cel phones at their shows. I wish there were concerts I want to go to...

Concerts are probably much better off for not having a bunch of people there that freak out over a cell phone. It's 2018. Get over it.

It's sad that you can't get past your judgement of other people long enough to enjoy the music and artist you love. I admittedly am guilty of recording portions of concerts myself so I can enjoy the experience again later. I try to keep the recording time brief so that I can still stay in the moment with the music and the crowd. I do often wonder why people keep their phones up so long, but then I let it go and return my focus where I want it to be ... on the music and performance. But then I am also one to get so lost in the music that I close my eyes and just listen and feel it with my whole body. You could just relax and forget about what everyone else is doing. Don't let others spoil your good time.

I was at a concert on Friday night where the artist told everyone to pull out their phones and turn on the flashlight, kind of like the old BIC lighter idea from years past. It was a cool moment to light up a dark stadium with a thousand little LEDs. I took a photo. With my phone. You missed it.
