The Purge

I had a epiphany today that down deep Americans hate one another. That's why they are so obsessed with guns. They're preparing to wipe one another out. If you spend any time there they have an air of hostility when they communicate. The reason the country is so divided? They just hate one other. If one political won that country 100% the party would quickly turn into factions and start to war with one another. I have to assume they hate one another because down deep they know the culture is just plain ugly. Even with all the great inventions some how they reduce everything down to mostly economics and then impose those "values" on the world under the guise of democracy. On the surface it's American pride but down deep they hate themselves and therefore each other. Seriously, that sh!t's a time bomb.

Vancouverites are worse with their smug superiority complexes, sheeple mindsets, and barely contained hostility toward one another.

You clearly haven't spent

Much time there. Some of the kindest, most generous people you will find. Turn off the TV and go meet some everyday people.

That was no epiphany

But rather a burst of condescension and arrogance mixed in with ignorance.
I spend my winters in California, the Gulf Coast, and Florida, and have done so for years.
Friendly people, the women are friendlier, etc etc. I could give countless examples of how well I've been treated.
Our "culture" is no better, and just because they believe in personal responsibility, being accountable, and entrepeneurship doesn't make them greedy.
Just because its different doesn't mean it's worse, and I could make a rather long list of how they do things better than in Canada.

... understand freedom. Freedom and Nobility are constituted by the power of self-defense, and firearms are one of the best ways to defend oneself. The fake politeness that exists in slave states does not exist in USA, because everyone in the USA is considered freeborn and noble, that is, allowed to bear arms. In many states, they're even allowed to carry them openly, not like in slave states like Canada.

Your view that self-defense is really self-hatred is a common communist mind control trope, it's designed to make the subject think that if he wants to fight against communists taking his home, he's defective.

I had a buddy whose family lived through a communist revolution. The communists were cowards---his father and grandfather defended their home with their weapons and by throwing glass bottles full of lit gasoline at the commies. They left them alone.

Having a firearm means that if the socialists ever come to take your property, or your body (as in National Socialist Worker's Party Germany, Nazi is a contraction of NAtional SocIialist), you can at least have a fighting chance. The only reason this never happened in America is because Americans are too smart and too well-armed. If they hadn't been armed, there would have been a Black-Panther/SDS/etc. led communist revolution in the 60s.

Canadian Smugness and Hypocricy

I am convinced that if Canadians had a fraction of the constitutional rights that Americans enjoy, especially the right to bear arms, that Canada would be a bloody anarchy.

the movie "The Purge" was set in America so it's not an epiphany, it inspired your post. Clearly you're not the first person to have that thought. Americans can be belligerent and their foreign policy and human rights record is atrocious but there's good and bad people everywhere.

USA is the country that gave the world freedom of speech. You either have the freedom of speech Americans have, or you're a slave.
