I hear that induction stovetops offer the same rapid heating times as gas, but without the open flames and the carbon emissions of natural gas. Is this true? Quite curious, I am.

I've woken up more than once with a gas stove bleeding fumes in the middle of the night.

One little problem though....our province is trying to mandate the elimination of households or commercial businesses using gas, in favour of going fully electric. I’m in a condo with an electric stove now, and I hate it and miss my gas one all the time. There’s a reason why professional chefs only use gas.

I have heard that induction electric is by far the most efficient and just as fast or faster than gas, but it requires magnetic pans which might cause you to have to buy a lot of new gear.

I LOVE gas cooking! it's INSTANT HEAT! And that nice seared steak and caramelizing onions on my cast iron griddle with the tiny holes allows that nice very slight charring I like so much on my meats. It means I will ALWAYS cook with gas be it CH4 (Natural Gas) or Propane!

I'm gonna go BBQ a steak in the morning for breakfast using my gas stove!--- Ohhhhh Yeah Babeeeee!
