Business Unplan

As a consumer, I'm not going to bring my own bottle to a brewpub that charges more than a Cold Beer & Wine Store (those are unreasonably expensive to begin with) for their beer, no matter how good it is.

Maybe we can enjoy beer for a little while longer if we don't mess up the planet. We can look after our planet by not investing so much carbon in disposable containers. Bring your own container. This way you can have your beer and drink it too.

But you still have to pay a deposit on every bottle from the liquor store.

Obviously

They don’t usually charge more. Plus, if you like that beer more than the liquor store beer then you can have a couple litres of it for a lot cheaper than something you don’t like as much. A lot of craft beer is much higher in alcohol percentage than the beer at the liquor store so it’s a way better bang for your buck!

Yeah, gotta pay for all those sleeve tattoos somehow, right?
I get that this business model is supposed to be more sustainable but they're supposed to pass some of the savings on to the customer. This place was charging $8.50 for 1 L, not 2L. Also about $5 for a single can (1 pint).

The government requires minimum pricing, plus 15% sales tax. That puts the price up there around 3.75 bucks a litre. Feel better now.
