Going to work drunk
posted December 14th, 2018 at 11:23 AM
I might get hate for this but for the past month I've been starting to go to work drunk. My job is in the enentertainment industry so it's not affecting anyone. I still show up on time and do my job well. I don't drive so thats not a worry. None of my coworkers have noticed and frankly I love my job more. I see nothing wrong.

You say your daily drinking isn't harming anyone, but I'm pretty sure being drunk every day would be considered self harm. The road to alcoholism is a slippery slope, so think about dialing back before it's too late.
You dont see...

The health problem issue down the road? This isnt sustainable.

never did a gig sober. Same with his dad, who's now in his 70's. Messes up your health tho.

If you're willing to drink before working then it shouldn't matter if anyone notices.
I've worked a wide range of jobs in the entertainment industry & because I wasn't drunk or high at the time I usually able to notice when a co-worker was inebriated depending on how inebriated they were.
You don't really need the job then keep it up!
Dude, we’ve definitely noticed

There’s no hiding being drunk. We can smell it. We’re just keeping mum for now, hoping you get your act back together. Give your head a shake before the above-the-lines crack down on you.

Everyone is talking about it behind you. Please trust me when I say, you don't know you're an alcoholic until it's too late. Recovery is so difficult.
