I quit smoking 5 years ago, and happy about it. But I’m in an industry where everyone goes on smoke breaks. The closeness and the comaraderie was always fun. I miss it.

Yeah, alcohol and blow are also like that.
Thus why I always tell people they should keep drinking. To quit is social suicide.
Can harm your work prospects, too.
Don’t worry about it...

...think how much fun the celebration of life parties will be.

I quit about 15 years ago and I had the same problem. I started going out with the smokers as a way of still being cool even if I didn't smoke. I also became immune to the urge to start smoking by seeing smokers smoke all the time. The smokers looked at me with suspicion for a while, but they finally figured out that I was not going to start lecturing them. I don't go out with them anymore, but there are only 3 of them now.
Easy!

Just go on smoke breaks with them. You don’t have to smoke. I had a friend that did that years ago and nobody thought it was weird.
