Vancouver Dating

So drained. Why is it so hard here in Vancouver. All my international friends find it hard as well. I've lived here 5 years and am still single. This would never be the case back home. Online dating, omg what's with the 'one word' replies back? Come on and make an effort (I am). It is true: dating online and using dating apps has desensitized us from the standards we should uphold. I'm not feeling sorry for myself. I will continue, just pissed off. Agh.... Vancouver, you need to change your attitude. If you do, I promise you’ll find something – and it will be big.

Why?

Easy:
If you are a woman, they say men in Vancouver dress and behave like 14 year old boys, women outnumber men by 8 to 1,they are unemployed drug addicts who live in their mom's basement playing video games all day. Oh yeah, and that we all expect to date Victoria's secret type models- amongst other things.

If you are a man,you are expected to be of a certain height, net worth with an established career and a home owner...or be well on the way to all the above.
As well, you are legally required to hand over half of any capital gains you had,pay half her unsecured debt, and pay her half of any money you put into a retirement fund while she lived with you part time, for a couple years.

This last paragraph also explains why Vancouver is the escort and sugar daddy capital of Canada. It's cheaper than an ex wife.

That is why.

I’ve lived here for 6 years still single also. But it’s never a case when I’m traveling back home. Lots of new girls easy to talk to and please to have a conversation with. But every tim I’m back here for work it’s a nightmare

Yeah...., 30 years ago Vancouver was filled with cheap cafes and seedy bars. Dating was as easy as just showing up. But since then, a bunch of newbies from everywhere moved in and turned it into something back home. I miss Vancouver. Now, I guess I'll need to develop mefirst attitude to fit in or stay single.

Dating is known to be pretty awful in Vancouver. Any good guy I've met (very few) weren't from here. It's really unfortunate and I'm sure I'll get down votes.

Most good women aren't asking for a lot despite men thinking otherwise. A kind man that isn't abusive in any way, smart, funny, compatible and mutual attraction that wants a long term relationship that's monogamous. (Not a model either but mutual attraction and connection) sadly, very very hard to find....
I've given up.... It's frustrating.

Why are you even tryin?

You re doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. That’s called insanity my friend. Why do you bother playing the game that is rigged against men. Have some tiny bit of self respect and stop fishing in a pond where there’s no fish. Stop feeding their ego. You don’t have to make first move or pay for the date. It’s equality era. Love only yourself. Focus on your carrier and when you are ready go and find a wife abroad just don’t forget to introduce yourself as a poor hardworking guy from a third world country lol. PS men don’t reply with one-word

may be an indicator of your online failures.
Not too subtle, just pisses women off.

Because it's a city of emotionally stunted children who want to live life entirely on the terms therefore won't give anything back to anyone. Most here are so arrogant and diluted, they're convinced they're totally amazing and don't have to change. It's been like this for as long as I can remember. How can it change when everyone is so diluted? It can't and won't.

Bait the hook. Wear a suit at a downtown Starbucks and pretend you're a lawyer. The relationship won't last but at least you'll get laid

With there being 7 billion people on the planet, there are way too many options. No one wants to commit. Everyone is better than everyone and no one is good enough. We’re looking at a future where no one is committed and fewer people. It’ll be better in a hundred years. Right now is as bad as war time but in a completely different way! Hope you lonely people are able to at least get laid once in a while!
