Traffic + ridesharing

You think Vancouver traffic and parking is bad now? Just you wait til ridesharing comes to town. With the “cheap” car rides you will pay the price in increased road congestion. Not everyone is supposed to be shuttled around in a vehicle like a rock star. Just you wait Vancouver.

Seems like you are suggesting that using roads is a privilege that should be reserved just for the rich. You might be shocked to learn that the rest of us to support that notion.

Also, wouldn't ridesharing be good for parking cause they don't need parking spots?

The OP has a point. If ridesharing gets implemented then traffic congestion will increase without a doubt. It would be a new job that almost anyone can apply for. It’s the perfect job for a millennial since they don’t have to do much but drive...and they pick their hours. I think that market will explode if it comes here. We will end up with traffic like L.A. soon

I'm curious if you've just never had to experience the long waits that come from the years that we've had to endure with no new cab licenses issued, or you're just willfully oblivious to the obvious benefits that promoted a huge majority of those who actually live and work in the core to put pressure on our elected officials to allow Vancouverites to benefit greatly from rideshare like the vast majority of large urban areas throughout North America have for years now...or are you just here shilling for a local cab company?

Ride sharing is good for normal human beings. That's why the BC Taxi Thug Cartel does not like it.

The BC liberals did nothing when they had the chance. Now the BC NDP is slow walking this thing. It's too bad we don't have politicians that care about normal human beings in BC.
