Another One Bites The Dust

I confess I'm always a little satisfied when I see a Starbucks close down.

Starbucks deserves what they get in Vancouver. The service standards in Vancouver are abysmal. If you go to Starbucks in almost any other city, the level of service is like night and day. In Vancouver, Starbucks stores often open late, close early (did you know all Starbucks stores have a mandate to be open ten minutes before and ten minutes after their posted hours? Yeah, how many stores in Vancouver follow that rule...) baristas don't smile, greet customers or bother to call down the long line that has formed while the barista on the espresso bar makes one....drink....at....a....time.....

There are so many other GOOD options in Vancouver. If Starbucks is your first choice, you've been brainwashed or you're just not bothering to look for a better option.

And what's even better is when a Hortons closes.

If I get poor customer service and file a complaint to head office, they send me a free gift card. Try it. Works every time!

They close one here and open one in Asia. But whatever, out of sight, out of mind.
