I'm pretty sure I have some level of Depression

I can recall moments of true joy and contentment but it's fleeting...that said I don't think we're meant to be deliriously happy all the time.Life deep down is stressful but all you can do is make the best of it while it lasts.

Fleeting Moments

We can't make them happen
We can't even try
We can only put ourselves in position
Where we catch them as they fly

No contentment in being deliriously depressed

You're not meant to be happy all the time, but you're not meant to be depressed all the time either. If you dropped what you truly love in your life, where you had those moments, you can pretty much count on never having another fleeting moment of true happiness again. That emptiness will remain and grow in you until you choose to pick it back up. Whether it's riding horses or putting paint to canvas, you have to go with the passion of your soul, or you really have no life, and you're just another member of the walking dead.

You are right. Life is hard. Sharing something I came across that made a difference, 'The 12 Rules for Life; an antidote to chaos' by Jordan B Peterson. All the best.

this world (dimension) was obviously not designed to be easy but there is 'opportunity in adversity' & that's how we supposed to mature and grow ... give thx

Depression is pretty trendy these days. If you sincerely think you have some, go to a doctor. Otherwise, don't stress about not being happy. Mental illness is worn as a badge of honour lately, and you need to be careful not to fall prey to that line of thinking when you're perfectly "normal".
