Looking at France

The yellow-jacket protests remind me of the Canadian situation. But why doesn't anything happen in Canada? We're taxed an arm and a leg, and in Vancouver we cannot afford to live basically. It makes me wonder why yellow-jacket protests have not caught on here.

We are not taxed anywhere like Europe is. I’m happy to pay for amenities, EI, healthcare.

Certainly always defend the defenceless & advocate for real justice - BUT - lest u become 'a foolish dog who barks at the birds' ... suggest each & all look honestly into ourselves to face our own greatest adversary which does not want us to realize that we must: "first become the change u want to see in the world." When enuff of us get that then we will collectively as a race evolve to the next stage of consciousness ..... so, "don't worry bout a thing cuz every little thing gunna be alright."

The yellow vest movement is about Govt waste and interference and the destruction of the Middle Class...In Canada the media labeled it a racist organization from day one and the RCMP put people on watch lists.

Parisians love protesting

Canadians are by and large docile sheep that go to our slaughter without saying a word.

Canadians are brainwashed

We mock places like China and Russia for brainwashing their people, but Canada is just as bad. Conditions in Vancouver and Toronto are dismal due to Liberal government policy but the sheep are told to suck it up, and they will be slaughtered for any bleats.

You know that’s a good question. It keeps getting worse and worse and worse here. With hydro, ICBC, property taxes etc etc. It never stops. We have a lot to revolt about. It came close with HST

The Canadian tradition is of a forelock tugging colonial mentality, which never complains. The more recent arrivals have not been here long enough to build up a reserve of outrage

Racist

The media will call you a racist if you protest, but I'm biracial and it hasn't stopped me from putting my yellow vest on and protesting this government's foreign influences, and economic policies.

The movement has been coopted by racists and bigots here. Red scarves may be better right now.
