To be more fair..

Landlords should try living in the homes they are renting out. See how they like living in sub-standard housing, over-crowded conditions, sharing a place with strangers, inconsiderate neighbors, mold, rodent infestation and neglected, cold basements.

Eye roll. I’ve been a homeowner for the majority of my life, but due to some unforeseen circumstances that happened exactly at the same time as the stock market crashed and the money-laundering began in earnest here in Vancouver, I had to sell my home and I’ve been renting ever since. I’m exactly the same person. I’m a professional. If it wasn’t for extremely bad timing I would still be a homeowner. Stop being so arrogant and presumptuous! Exactly the same thing can happen to anyone at any time. Even YOU. The market has nothing whatsoever to do with how hard people work. If you’re one of the fortunate people who managed to buy and hold onto a property before things went crazy, that’s called LUCK.

They should! See what it’s like having carpenter ants and spiders everywhere, mold, mildew, ugly tile, crumbling countertops and leaky faucets!! Update your suites before charging triple the worth of your disgusting filth put!

If tenants were suddenly to become landlords, they would probably treat their tenants the same way.

never having to live in the shitholes they're renting is WHY they became landlords in the first place.
