It never ceases to amaze me the things that can be done with human hair, from turning it into wigs for kids with alopecia to fiber booms to help mop up oil spills.

Human hair is also used to derive a chemical called "L-cysteine." I think its used as a preservative in many processed foods such as frozen pizza. I've heard its also used in breads!

Soy sauce. But pretty sure that particular company was shut down when that was discovered. Even the Chinese government has limits I guess.
