It's not their fault, most of them are full of vegetable oil which makes them think pot does something---people I know who don't use a diet rich in vegetable (olive, soybean, canola, etc.) oils rarely have much habitual use of pot, what it "corrects" if anything is the endemic fat imbalance due to the human habit for consuming vegetable and seed oils---naturally, seeds come around once a year, and it was a very, very strange human that lived on acorns.
