Reasons for termination

-bad attendance -bad worth ethics -rude to customers Reasons people actually get fired: - letting management know when problems arise (making you the problem) I've worked my ass off for too many jobs, and have learned time and time again that it literally doesn't matter anymore. As long as you keep your head down and not stir the pot you're a good little employee. See mouse droppings in the kitchen? Make sure you don't say anything! See other tasks not being completed by your co-workers (making your workload harder)? Make sure you don't say anything! Want to help your community? Stop going to places with high employee turn around. Starve the bastards.

I worked at a job and it took me a while to realize that when I made a suggestion for improvement I was not seen as someone with initiative but a "trouble-maker".
Absolutely soul-deadening.

And you all thought automation was about efficiency, safety and cost savings, heh, heh...
Nope.
As someone who's worked in automation for decades, let me assure you all, it was ALWAYS about replacing as many of the inconvenient humans as possible. Always. Myself included.
That may not have been the stated (or even conscious) intent of the people in charge of the workplace, or of society. But it was always the objective of industrial technological progress.
Humans suck at repeatable tasks, and employment in general, relatively speaking. Machines, especially software, far superior. And most tasks are repeatable.
We're coming along more quickly these days. Only a few decades left.
The military's getting powered exoskeletons already. Just a short step to those constructs being driven remotely by AI - no humans required. Over 5G and WiFi6, everywhere on the planet.
Very soon now.

The others in your field of employment have to sit back and trust. Sometimes it's not about getting an asshole fired but appealing to their possible sense in right/wrong. The only way to get help(ask for it) is to appeal to that sense if they are derived from that sort in thought and prospective.

You've chosen the wrong career. I knew this when I was a teenage high school drop out.
