Suffer in Silence
posted March 23rd, 2019 at 7:53 PM
My ex-girlfriend was physically abusive towards me. She would punch, kick, and slap me when she didn't get her way. I told guys that this was happening and they thought it was funny and that she was feisty. Women I told couldn't believe a man was being abused by a woman.
I ended up breaking up with her via text because she pulled a kitchen knife on me and I thought she was going to stab me.
There just aren't enough services to help men that are being physically abused by their girlfriends/wives so we have to suffer in silence.

The UK has a domestic abuse law that includes emotional abuse.
Jordan Worth, 22, banned her partner from their bed, decided what clothes he could wear, isolated him from friends and family and even took over his Facebook account.
She was jailed for seven-and-a-half years after pleading guilty to the offence of controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate relationship, introduced in 2015, as well as wounding with intent and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
New here?

Wrong place for that.
Dudes are disposable and everyone else is The Precious.
The unwritten rule of our age, also applicable here.

Times Up

Time is up on abusers, they have to face themselves. You are right there aren't enough resources for men who have suffered physical and sexual violence. We are behind as a culture in educating early on that it is okay for men to open up, that we must learn to listen and acknowledge, and that men suffer abuse as well. It takes a lot of courage to tell people and I'm sorry that your voice was received with sexism. Speaking out and reporting will help to bring about change that could provide research and a cultural shift to providing more help.

All the women I've ever been with have been either physically or emotionally abusive. I just don't bother anymore. I'm fine on my own.

You should have reported her for domestic violence. This is coming from a woman.

Was in a relationship with a very fem women , she would slap , kick ,punch, pull hair and bite. Woke up a few times with her staring at me ,crying away. She wanted us to get life insurance on each other , then we could go out on her dad's sailboat and i would not have to wear a life jacket , though she knew i could not swim. I left her , when she went to work and i still keep my eye out for her bat shit crazy ways, 5 years later.
