Tom Petty said it best

Whatever you're looking for, don't come around here no more. I've given up, on waiting any longer. I've given up, on this "love" getting stronger. I don't feel you anymore. You darken my door. You tangle my emotions. It's over.

Those lyrics remind me of a crazy co-worker. He’s manipulative and tries to play the victim, always whined to me about pointless bullshit. Had to distance myself from that person and things have been better ever since.

That's a shame.

I had forgotten a belief I had. I was a very strong believer in not giving up on those you love. I still am but find it kind of funny I pushed out the one I loved more than anyone else! It was starting to hurt too much I guess.

Handy to just quote someone else. Saves the trouble of developing your own ideas.
Here's one for you:
"When two men always agree, one of them is unnecessary" - Wrigley Jr. c. 1931
You just repeated Petty, verbatim. And didn't add or derive anything else. Makes you redundant.

Yeah, you sound very happy.
Funny, you remind me of a closeted coworker who kept hitting on his underling, whining about not being appreciated and being taken for granted while savoring every loving action brought to him. And I'll bet that you're nowhere near over the guy you just wrote about. I mean, look at the lyrics. Waiting for love...that's what it was about.
I didn't know that suffering in a loveless marriage with a selfish greedy meanie while silently wishing to be with a man you can't stop thinking of translated as being better off, but whatever preserves the illusions that keep you safe and secure. She helps you live the good lie but don't worry...eventually you'll succumb to a deep depression that she'll resent you for and you'll be too old to live your truth with the guy who made you feel more than anyone before. All because you don't want to get caught making a phone call. So...um...good luck with that.

If this is you, I explained why you have to call. Oh, how I want to. I miss you. The love isn't dead. But words like these aren't helping. You are good with words. You just need to make a call.

Make the divorce, so they can make the call. They trusted you once, they will not trust you again, until you show them, that they are not just another option in your life, but rather a necessity, and at the same time showing them that you're not just setting them up to label them a home wrecker or stalker, and slap them with a restraining order, just for one last trip for your ego. You've done it before. Personally I think you want to play them for a bigger fool, just because you can, and seemingly you can only be happy by making them sad. You dont care if you drive them to take their own life just to escape the pain that you inflict upon them, but of course if they see you being that sort of person, that may get turned around on you. You have to prove yourself.

I already had the idea. The idea is what brought his song to mind. I'm not here to entertain you with my own spin. Get over yourself.

The Darkness!

I can hear people talking, but the pitch black of the dark makes it impossible to see what they are. Oh wow, and is it cold in here, like a morgue. Time to seek light and warmth.
