Too much pressure

There’s a fine line between a guy showing genuine interest in me, and a guy coming on too strong. One of the fastest ways to make me run is to pressure me by calling constantly, asking too personal of questions, going over the top with flowers or other types of gifts, or talking about love within the first few dates. I’m not speaking for every woman, just me. I like to know that I’m appreciated and desired, but I also like a guy who can play it a bit cool too. Give me my space and give me the time I need to decide if it’s working for me or not. If you don’t, I won’t stick around long enough to even consider the possibility. Oh, and one more thing, don’t assume that just because we’ve had sex, I belong to you!

This is why I stopped dating. I had issues with the fine line I'd drawn for myself because if the guy was attractive enough (either physically or personality-wise), I'd move that fine line a little to the left or right, depending on where it needed to be to in order for me to validate my position. I started to feel really disingenuous (to myself, mostly). All it took was a nice smile or someone saying just the right thing to make me question these "values" that I had put in place for myself? So, I stopped dating because I needed to figure out where my line actually was. Still haven't found it. Might not ever. My problem, not anyone else's.

Once they start moving, I'm out.
Showstoppers include "I don't know what I want", running hot and then cutting me off for weeks, saying they're in with both feet if they're in at all (only to check out shortly after)...
That not playing cool. It's playing games.
Relationships are hard enough without this, and the behavior tells me what I can expect in the future - more of the same. Can't make that work.
Hurts to walk. Hurts because regrets. But hurts more to stay.

You come across as very conceited and sanctimonious. Nothing you wrote is unreasonable in theory, but I'm sure a majority of us feel the same way about others who are clingy or insecure. No, It's your tone... like a spoiled princess. It's difficult to imagine there are people who would even show you that kind of attention, with that attitude.

That's terrible

I hope that sort of thing never happens to you again.

YOU need to find the guy that YOU want to call too much and talk about love too early with. Otherwise you're just choosing the best worst option.

What is the point of educating us about you when no one knows who you are?
