another new format change

yet again some regularly-accessed website has changed format to "welcome to our new website", so now a single-click on a Favourite or a Bookmark just goes to a big-print, all-over-the-place formatted home page with tons of huge images or videos or whatever, and search functions that are way different and take forever. UGH! Stop changing things!! Specifically, this time it's with an old favourite realty website, which now is just as annoying as the others, and looks identical, too. Fine... I will just obtain my info by other means. So tired of this tech world always catering to the mobile device-using populace, and forgetting that some people still like a regular computer, with a screen and regular keyboard as peripherals. I'm too busy running my business to waste my time updating programs, figuring out new websites, configuring new devices, etc. etc. This world nowadays just isn't meant for me. No wonder I'm scared to death of Craigslist, Twitter, etc.

It fails as often as not.
Catering to the mobile audience with small screen space in the real estate market is an amazing idea. If you're trying to sell questionable value to a "twitch" audience (no attention span). This is good for sales and bad for everything else.
It's how we get to sky-high property valuations. Well, also speculation, and crime. But it has that going for it.
I'm more at home on a larger screen myself, and often request the desktop version of a website even on my mobile device. But I got my tail caught in the crack because of small print. A lot. Enough times that I want to see the devil in the details. And I LIKE to read.
Social media has slight value and lots of rubbish. Yes, it's ironic that I'm writing that here.
You're missing very little.
Agreed

I hate it when they change their website to fit with the new web design fashion. The new websites are usually dumbed down, stripped of their content, and rendered less usable. Why fix something that isn't broken?

as I wish porn mags were popular again. The sites I go for information & resources keep changing their sites and before you know it some jerk is trying to hack your computer. Why can’t they just do simple non misleading choices. I feel for ya.
