Funny story about when I gave up on it.

I changed my profile to something stupid, just making fun of all the strreotypical stuff I saw women put in most of their profiles, I left it up there for a while, just to troll. (It was all in good fun, nothing angry or insulting). Then I forgot about it after a week or so and got a notification that i had a new match.

I thought she must have had a good sense of humor to match with me at that point, so I decided I'd give it one last try. Talked to her, met her, she seemed pretty chill and kind of funny. I gave her my number and then didn't hear from her. Didnt think much of it, just moved on.

Around the same time I gave up on tinder, I downloaded Bumble cuz a guy i work with told me that's a better place to try and find real relationships. About a week and a half after I saw her, I get a notification that someone new likes me. I pull up the app, and the first profile I see is hers, I figure maybe she lost my number.

I swipe right, we match, I wait till she Sends me a message, and eventually tells me that when she saw my profile on tinder, she thought it was wired, and so she thought i was gonna be wierd, and the only reason she matched with me was because she thought I'd be wierd and she'd have a good story for her friends. But i was actually funny and normal and she wasnt looking for a BF so she felt bad for wasting my time.

LOL. I was too normal. Lol

Deleting my tinder account was so liberating. Unfortunately I haven't had a date since, so there is that. Hope you have better luck than me.

Still trying to recover my self esteem after several rounds on tinder and 0 matches.

99% of the profiles are bullshit. Why let a lack of response affect your self-esteem in any way?
