Not exactly sure when pedestrians lost the right-of-way.

Sign turns to WALK, you step down, turning car BOLTS by your face, you step back or die. Gotcha! New popular BC sport for losers. And once you're in the crosswalk, cars are literally nipping at your heals and cutting between pedestrians. To go where? In Ontario, we used to laugh about speeders with: they're going 150 KPH to Barrie! But this pedestrian bullying is new to here.
Why are there no cops ticketing this stuff? or any of our horribly dangerous driver scenarios? Seems Vancouver area police resources are focused on DANGEROUS transit fare evasion.

When did this start to happen? I’ve noticed this more and more too. Nipping at your heels is so spot on.

Drivers do seem to be getting worse, but pedestrians for the most part ignore the rules more often. That red hand means do not walk people. Sorry it delays you a minute but there you have it.
Not all drivers

This is the same post as is posted every month at least. It’s a problem with everyone, not just drivers. We’re all frustrated because this city has grown far too much, way too fast. Too many people in small spaces makes for stressful situations all the time. It also pedestrians who think that laws don’t apply to them and completely ignore the hand sign saying DON’T WALK! If drivers in the downtown core particularly aren’t at least somewhat aggressive, they’re never going to be able to make a turn due to pedestrians ignoring the rules. We all need to be considerate, not just drivers.

Do you want to pay 60% income tax to have a full time officer on each and every busy-ish street corner in the lower mainland?

Someone did this to my car: I called the police, she was charged and convicted of vandalism. On top of the fines was ordered to pay my $2800 body shop bill.

No- I want cops to do their goddamn job! People not stopping at crosswalks or stops signs is serious and needs to stop.

Use your brain, please. To achieve what you want will need hundreds of police on shift 12 hours a day.
Thats the only way to see even a tiny percent
