I just turned 30 and I think I need to find a nice man with a decent job to settle down with and start a family. I will no longer date bartenders, bouncers, or actors. Hooking up in my 20's was fun but that chapter of my life is officially over. I no longer party or do any drugs. Turning 30 has changed my life for the better.

Wait for the haters to roll in, blaming women for not settling down in your 20's. Blaming women for hooking up. Blaming women for dating bartenders, bouncers, actors. Blaming women for partying or doing drugs. Blaming women for being selfish.

Meantime, I did none of these things in my 20's because I was ignored, rejected, and mocked. Now that we're both 30, men will always find a reason to reject us.

No reason why one reaches 30 and immediately has to quit living for today and give up all pleasures get some guy (any guy) and settle down and have kids. God help the kids if this is your attitude.

Congrats for turning your life around, however, beware of what you're looking for. If your only goal is to find a good a good guy because you want to breed and not because you want to have a life partner, you might get disappointed later. But oh, well, the life script...

Those guys who have their shit together weren't waiting around through their 20s waiting for you. They were quickly snapped up by those women who had their shit together before you. Those men are in happy, fulfilling, loving relationships and, if they aren't already married with kiddies, are well on their way in that direction. You snooze, you lose.
