Even as someone who was born and raised here, I have a hard time making friends. All the long time friends I have are busy with a family, and/or are not very active. I am very active and most people can't keep up with me. I end up doing a lot of things alone. I feel so lonely. Most of the time my guy friends are up for something, but some female friends who are too would be nice.

You should try meet up groups. It’s not always just for trying to meet a partner. A lot of people here in the city are in the same boat, and are looking for friends as well. Hope you find some interesting people to spend time with!

Your guy friends probably just wanna smash.

Compromise. Do something they want to do sometimes.

Instead of insisting they "keep up with you". No wonder no one wants to hang out with you.

OMG laughed so hard I cried... Reading comprehension is hard when it gets in the way of you limited frame eh?!?

@Compromise. Do something they want to do sometimes.

Sometimes? The only time we hang out is when it's something they want to do, I'd never see them otherwise. Most of the time they just want to do is drink-boring!

Why do chics always say?

No one can keep up with guy ever says that.

Just about all my friends are from elsewhere (as am I), or have lived outside BC for extended periods of time. It's gotten so bad that I check out the moment I realize I'm dealing with a local.
It's terrible, but I've had too much BC Flava over the last 7 years. Which ranges between apathy and hostility, sometimes coated in superficial enthusiasm for the sake of politeness.
Can not do. I'll be leaving in a couple of years, though, so this is a short-term problem.
