The grocery cashier customer relationship is strangely intimate.

They know your diet..they know your relationship status if you're always by yourself and buying enough food for one or two. If you see them all the time you have to be careful not be seen as flirtatious and keep things on a strictly professional food buying level.

Uh huh.

But why would I not want to flirt, and not want to have a relationship with them, if I like them, and if they like me? Because you say I shouldn't? I would need a better line of reasoning as to why I shouldn't want to pursue a cashier other than " they know your tastes, and availability status".

I love my grocery cashiers

I’m go in on the daily, I’m married have kids and I genuinely like them...so I’d say we have a friendship, small talk is always good and I treat them well and I think they genuinely like me too :)

It isn’t anything like that

I used to be a grocery cashier. Sure I looked at their food, then the next person came and I forgot about the last one immediately.

What if you thought they were attractive and you saw them 2-3 times a week?

I too

Worked in a grocery store. Only the bizarre purchases stand out. Like the guy who bought an enema, the largest size of lube and latex gloves. No actual groceries.

I'd admire them and move onto the next.
