In the larger scheme of things, as a tiny spark of deflation in a wildly inflationary world, this is meaningless, speaking pragmatically.
But on the individual level, very different.
As a grand "f*ck you" gesture to the materialist ideology that we all swim in, and to all the despicable Philistines that govern and infest our civilization, it's magnificent.
I'm usually not much for symbolic gestures, but to every rule there are exceptions.
It's the equivalent of going to a crowded public square and setting oneself on fire, but better. In the developed world, THIS will be MUCH more impactful. They care nothing for humans or any other kind of life here, despite all the bodice-tearing, virtue-signaling bullsh*t (because results matter and words don't). But they worship money.
Love it.

The bank or CRA will take it all then. It's not legal to destroy legal tender. Better come up with a plan B

What is the motivation for ensuring that your wealth will not be of benefit to anyone?

Why not set up a scholarship fund for post secondary students who are entering your field? It’s super helpful to young people and less douchey than your original plan.

why not help others whom are in real need? Lots of hurting people out there.

So much good you can do to help those in need, and you do this selfish vanity gesture. You are the biggest a hole. You should expedite your anticipated demise to free up valuable real estate. At least that's contributing something.

I am helping others as they have helped me. Not at all.
