Tradeoff

I put on sticky whitish sunblock everyday because it looks better than looking like an old creased leather shoe.

There is that

There is also wearing a hat & long sleeves-gloves
or just staying indoors mostly.

I wear a ton of sunscreen, I had a friend try to convince me, if I burned easily, to just say in the sun longer and it will turn into a tan. My dad use to do that and I got to see moles and warty lumps form all over his body in his later years...No thank you!

I like leather

Get old enough and you'll look like old leather...sorry.

"In February, the FDA updated a proposed rule that would strengthen regulatory requirements for sunscreens sold in the U.S., which includes better understanding of the safety of active ingredients and their potential health effects. ... They found all four of the ingredients are absorbed into the blood at levels that the agency says is worth testing further for possible cancer risk."

Good Call

No one wants skin like an over ripe banana. The sunscreen can help prevent sun damage and melanoma.

You will just live... with sunscreen or not you will find that whatever you do you will still age and really, who care? You do, but no one else cares.

Water soluble nanoparticles, rub them on your skin, I'm sure they will stay there.

Yes and no

When I was young I got sunburned so badly I had to go to the hospital, the doctor recommended I always wear sunscreen when I'm outdoors. I slathered that crap on most of my life, now in my mid 50s my skin looks great, I get complements all the time. Yes, we can't stop aging but why would we want to look older than we have to? Anti-sunscreeners are the new anti-vaxxers.

There are six ingredients that the FDA flagged, actually. They are oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate and octinoxate. Absorbed through the skin, questionable effectiveness and/or possibly carcinogenic.
Those are not the ingredients the OP means.
"Sticky whitish" describes either of the only two mineral sunscreens that the FDA endorsed as safe and effective - zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Those are not water-soluble, not absorbed through the skin, and are not considered carcinogenic, even in Europe.
For bonus points, titanium dioxide is used in coatings and colorings for a mind-boggling number of things, including many foods. People have been eating it for many years, and I personally have titanium crowns on my back teeth (gold allergy). It has a pretty good safety record.
