I'm kind of in trouble, huh?

A close family member is ill with dementia and his condition is getting progressively worse. He spends most of his time alone these days. It sucks! His kids aren't even there for him or help take care of him. It's not really their job to, but he was a single parent only working for his kids while they were growing up. (They are in their early 20s now and their lifestyle is.. "not having money, but looking like they do using daddy's money".) When I do see him once a week, he seems happy and eats more while I'm there. If I could, I would see him more often, but I'm also holding back. If he feels like he owes me for anything, I might be on his will. I really care about him and worry about him so it's quite tough. His inheritance will cause a rift between me and his kids.

Go visit him. Don’t hold back. His final months mean more than money, and besides, if you really don’t care about the money, if he does leave you any, then don’t take it. The more important thing is the connection to humanity that you’ll be giving him in what must be a very sad and confusing and lonely time

Maybe he is trying to forget what a selfish narcissist he is.
Nice you care.
Good Karma for you.
But odd
No one else in the family cares though.
(No One)
Rather odd tale you tell.
Lovely L.

Those little pricks don't deserve a cent. You are a true Angel, please help him.

Go visit him! You'll regret it so much later, I assure you. If you're on the will, who cares? It's none of the kids' business what he does with his money and how he chooses to support people who showed him love.
Which relationship do you care more about - the one with this sad, lonely, dying man, or the one with his selfish children? They're going to regret not being better to him later, but you can show him love now.
Please contact a medical professional!

So that he ISN'T spending his last days alone.
He will be in a potentially dangerous situation and there needs to be someone around caring for him 24/7.
