Type A

I wish I could be one of those people who wakes up in the morning with energy and likes to get stuff done. I have always been kind of jealous of the go-getter type people, mainly because I am the opposite. I get up and want to lie down right away and pass the day staring at the ceiling, or out the window, or whatever. I have never really enjoyed work or getting things done. I am more inclined to laziness and contemplation. I wish I were different so I could achieve my goals, or at least have a goal.

This is called depression

It’s not a personality type or question of work ethic.
You are very depressed and that actually does require effort on your part if you want to see a change.

Coffee helps or green tea.

Who are you? Sigmund Freud? Just because one lacks energy to get up and go and know what they feel passionate about and are missing that "vroom vroom", doesn't necessarily mean as you put it "very depressed." It could be that individual hasn't found their passion or calling in life. They may lack self confidence or self esteem. Or perhaps they may have medical issues or vitamin deficiencies they're not aware of. Or wait for this... they fucking hate the morning and probably don't want to be labeled as something they may or may not be by a wannabe Freud like you!

Depression is in everyone, part of our vast emotional highways.
Some people just hide or manage it better than others.

Blah blah depression

Not everything is related to depression. I totally understand where the op is coming from. I would rather sit under a tree reading all day gazing at the sky. I hate working and “getting things done” also.

It's easy

Just wake up and drink coffee, dingus.

Why does everyone assume someone who's lazy is depressed??! There are plenty of lazy people who enjoy their lazy life.
You may also have a deficiency OP. I had an iron deficiency and it made me very low energy, sleepy and unmotivated. Try eating healthier, drink more water, exercise and you will feel more motivated. Heck, maybe even tidy and organize your house. Make some goals, you'll be motivated once you get a vision for your life and find passion in doing something you love.

Goodluck OP!!!

Sleep Apnea

You should get yourself checked for it.

I agree with @Whoa and @Sleep Apnea, you should rule out any concrete physical reasons before assuming it's depression or some personality flaw.
I also slept too much and felt tired all the time.
I discovered I had an iron deficiency much too late in life. I now watch my diet, and I take supplements once or twice a year for two weeks or so at a time - something so simple completely changed my life. Before this, I was having trouble walking up a small hill before getting winded and I thought it was because I was lazy and out of shape.
Dehydration can mess you up something fierce too, most people don't even think of that.
Hope you get it figured out!
