Why So Jealous

A friend and I were both in Toronto and went out on the town around 10 years ago. Nothing romantic happened. To this day, her husband is still jealous, even though he'd already slept with one of my Ex's before that.

You should have had sex with her then!

Jealousy

Is not a sign of love.
It can show transference of behaviour.
He is acting out cause he is cheating and has no trust in himself.
And therefore would expect the same treatment in return, even though you have done nothing to warrent his behavior..
Laymens terms..
He's an Asshole
Keep an eye on that crap.
Maybe keep your options open too. Huh

Could play a part. Some people’s insecurities around love can be triggered easily for a variety of reasons. I wouldn’t take it personally, but know that the husband’s feelings have value, too.

Some people are easily threatened, possessive, territorial, egotistical, insecure... Considered normal in many cultures.
Many also confuse it with "love". Odd, that. Love to me means trust, acceptance and security (in oneself), not this ego- and fear-driven bullsh*t.
Never was the jealous type. Not even when my ex-wife slept with a stranger (because drunk). And she was cheated on, in her first marriage. Which she never got over, so you'd think she should have known better. Ha.
Hell, if I treated my current housemate that way, she'd go mad and/or dump me. And rightly so. She works in emergency services, and deals with male colleagues (often strangers) on random rotation, and patients as well. And sleeps at remote stations sometimes.
I don't even ask when she goes out with friends. And I don't know them.
Don't care. If she's gonna, she's gonna. And if she cares about me, that shouldn't change. If it does, then time to move on and nothing will redeem things. Duh-obvious.
Partnership is crucial, sex is incidental.

Just drop the "handle". It's not really working out for you on an anonymous board.

Ignorance? Arrogance? Local product?
I can't tell, not even to know if you're talking to me or the troll, or to yourself. Are you the OP (if so, you failed to identify)? A random? Confusing...
Since you like to comment on protocol, some geek wisdom for you.
This here is a "pseudonymous" (NOT anonymous) forum, because connections are not obscured server-side nor fully anonymized (likeso VPN, TOR), nor very securely encrypted (likely minimal because expense, overhead). And the GSC probably keeps IP connection logs as well. Which are subject to seizure, trace and discoverability.
Not that they need it, as everything here (down to keystrokes, deletions and moderator actions) may be already archived in Utah. And even if not, Canada is a member of the "Five Eyes" partnership, and surveillance of anyone or anything in this country requires no court order, nor warrant, nor even government involvement.
Nor is that a "handle". Which would be a login and comes with a password on GSC.
Strictly a thread or theme marker, to string ideas together. It's not about identity, since I haven't posted under my GSC login in years. Personal brands are ego and distraction.
As for you, well, you're not exactly a paragon of courtesy, yourself. And therefore, your opinion only counts as a contrarian indicator. Meaning, if you don't agree with anything at all about my stuff, then I'm doing something right.
So you see, it's not quite that I dgaf about what you think or say. Only sort of.

Yesbut.
Not great to have that tied to my writing. Identity politics, cults of personality, Faceplant, Instacrap, Twitcher... It's become quite toxic and personal out there. And a recognizable name draws swarms of trolls - the basic sort, not the creative and interesting ones. The Chainsmokers kind of spoke to that in their autobio/tour video.
I try to present different ideas. Some work, others don't. Many don't get posted.
A thought should have intrinsic value. Names just confuse things.
