Well yes, "toxic co-workers" are unfortunately all too common -- not to be too negative here -- its not every employer, but certainly a significant number. Depending on how bad it is, I would guess 70 percent. The good news is that 30 percent of employer environments are "okay" so you at least have a reasonble chance of finding a better work environment.

I applaud your decision. Toxic stress is very unhealthy -- my opinion is that you are doing the right thing.

It is sad that there are so many disgusting people out there.
