Dating Culture

I have never had any trouble meeting men in the City. I mean they make up 50% of the population. Of course I put in some effort. I go to the gym 5 days a week and dress professionally. I get asked out at least twice a day. If I find a man attractive I will flirt with them. I have standards just like everyone else. I am from Poland so I don't play games. I only date one person and I am very upfront of what my expectations are. If you aren't looking to get married in the future or have children I won't waste my time on you. I just don't see any problems with the dating culture here and I think maybe some people are just anti-social or don't put in proper effort to attract anyone.

But the GS readers won't like it. They're all about polyamory and not ever getting married because most of the readers are college educated adult-children.

Question

Since seemingly more people over say 29 have a kid from a previous relationship(this is just a fact regardless of gender), do you also disregard people with children?

Just curious. Not judging. I am navigating the scene too and it seems like a kid in some form, is pretty standard these days.

Must be a troll

Of course when you are 10 out of 10 and rich you'll have no problems with having suitors.

Sorry, calling BS on this

No one, I mean NO ONE on the planet gets asked out "at least twice a day".
And what's with the "Poland" reference? Folks in Poland don't play games? WTF?

yes!!

Go away troll.
God help whomever dates you. Wonder how many of your relationships last more than a month.

telling men your looking for marriage or children right away is as off putting to a man as a man telling a woman he wants to have sex right away

Hello “Mrs. I”

I missed you.

Spare me your stupid list of standards

I don't care what your expectations are, and I don't care where you're from either. I do care that you have a closed mind, and that you're ignorant of what future life children are about to face in this world. That's a life I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, let alone my own child. Don't worry, I would never waste my time on someone like you. Very soon, billions are going to die. Watch how fast your standards are about to change, my dear.

Oh, they're so going to pile on, though you pretty much nailed it regarding the "traditional values" that rule this place. At least when it comes down to the bottom line, North America is ALL about the bottom line.
The big talk about open, adventurous, progressive, and liberated people, is just talk. A very small minority is like that, and they're one in a hundred (or maybe even several hundred). So they get their pick of those "traditionalists" (both single and attached) looking for adventure, and also their own kind. The rest are "monogamish", in Dan Savage parlance, or they don't even know what the hell they want (but good luck getting them to admit it). Very conformist, so they'll tell you whatever they think is socially expected of them. Often, not the truth...well, maybe in the moment.

I know two sisters (also from Eastern Europe, ironically) who are very open and non-traditional. One is an actual, proper "unicorn", in local parlance - polyamorous, horny, carefree and charming. She's in Europe right now, and likes Southwestern Europe MUCH better than Canada (she's lived here for almost two decades). The other is more the pair-bonded type, though she's open to play within that arrangement.
I'm from slightly (even) further east, myself, and though I'm not looking for the same sort of thing as you, my values don't match the local ones, either. I get on much better with Eastern Europeans, and especially women.
Happy hunting. May you find something that pleases you.
Love how straightforward and pragmatic you are, even if we see things completely differently.
