Grief

I’m still grieving over my last job that I left two months ago. It was good for a while but things went down the toilet. Management was disorganized. The left hand didn’t know what the right hand was doing and I ended up getting blamed for things that were beyond my control. As soon as I walked out that door, I tried not to look back. Technically I’m supposed to have gotten past it by now, but some days the bad memories just come inside my head and it’s made me very depressed. How can I finally put this bullshit to rest and get on with my life? No I won’t drink or smoke dope. Been there and done that, but neither drinking nor drugs took away the pain.

Don’t despair my friend. Six months and a year from now these people will have no importance in your life whatsoever.

You were using the wrong kind of dope. Fentanyl is what you need.

I also walked away

I walked away from as concierge job in July after working there for 3 years. Prior to that, I, too, had the same problem with management especially with the senior property manager who cover up numerous misconducts and illegal activities from a former employee who happened to be her friend's son. He was horrible and nasty towards tenants, my coworkers, and to myself. As a result of the ongoing toxic workplace, I end up getting constantly sick, gained weight, hair starting to fall out, became an alcoholic and doing drugs, and ended up in the hospital few times because of work. Seeing things will not change, I negotiated my release and asked them to pay me to leave. It was the best decision to walk away from toxicity.

Believe me when I say it was the best for you to leave your previous job! To start the healing process, may I please suggest if you can try to seek a counselor? Talking to someone who is compassionate and non-judgemental can really help you. Please think about it.

I wish you the best OP with your journey! :-)
