I confess

I confess I'm fed up There's a shop in my neighborhood and there  are two fat, slovenly salesguys that like to bully the locals. The manager likes to tell people how he can have anyone "hit" at anytime, he likes to tell racist jokes featuring the "n" word. I have three videos of them threatening transgendered people, drug addicts etc. and have been told by two locals that when they went into the shop to purchase something they were told to "get the fuck out". Now, these assholes represent a company from Quebec. In Quebec, class is important (attire and conduct) so I'm going to send the company that supplies their product a link to the assclown show.

Possibly stay in business with this type of behaviour going on?
This post doesn’t pass the “smell” test.

They're not allowed to discriminate based on race, economic status, sexual orientation, but you can discriminate against them about their weight and make assumptions about their activity level?
So Vancouver.

Trans Ally

These guys sound horrific, but FYI:

The umbrella term for people who identify with a gender different than the one assigned to them at birth is "transgender" or "trans." These words are adjectives, not nouns. Additionally, the word "transgendered" is offensive to trans people and unnecessarily confusing.

As trans advocate Joanne Herman noted in the Huffington Post, calling someone transgendered is a bit like calling someone "colored." "One problem with this label was that it implied something happened to make the person 'of color,' which denied the person's dignity of being born that way," Herman wrote. Similarly, transgendered suggests that being trans is something that happens to someone, as opposed to an identity someone is born with.

Pfft

I've seen the convenience store staff treated absolutely abominably, by everyone, regardless of ethnicity, class or gender. And by vagrants, especially. Not to mention all the theft.
I'm not in retail and it's been a mighty long time. Oddly, my sympathies lie with the staff. Who mostly have no better options, else they'd be in a different line of work. And are at high risk of automation, in any case.
But many of them are still polite and helpful, which is surprising because of the long hours and soul-smothering grind.
Whenever people claim discrimination and harassment, it begs the question. I'm always keenly interested to watch the other side of that interaction, too. Because nobody's story is straight or complete.
And it's the default to play the victim these days. For gain, social capital, or validation. Pathetic.
