go to this lovely little basement bar that was at the corner of Seymour and Dunsmuir. There would be music lightly playing in the background, usually a footy game would be playing on the tv, and there would be old guys from the UK talking about it... and I'd sit at a table, have a few drinks, and write.

Yes they do to mingle with people. What's weird are people who are afraid to go to the movies alone. You are after all sitting silently in the dark, does it matter if you're alone?

What this tells me is that you depend on other people for having fun and doing things.

There's always something interesting to watch and who knows who you might meet?

Men and women can go to bars on their own, it doesn't look desperate.

That said, a woman who doesn't have some orbiter to go to the bar with her is very rare.
