You don't have to care about other people who don't deserve it. I've been in situations before where I spent more time worrying about other people instead of worrying about myself. Just take care of yourself and forget about the rest.

That's the norm here. It's all mostly for show.
The ideal day is Extinction Rebellion protest in the morning, Le Dîner en Blanc afterward.
This is dgaf central, "world-class" home of the "chill". Supremely wokeful and "fashionably sensitive, but too cool to care". Jewel was eerily prescient in '95.
Think of it as an influencer's Instagram feed. Self-important, righteous, pretentious and painfully awkward. Nouveau-riche, tacky, often gauche.
Really engaged, not so much. The only time people get really wound up is over sports championships, and then there's just a bit of the good ol'ultraviolence.
If you want to see some audacity and give-a-sh*t, look at Paris, Hong Kong, Moscow, Latin America, Eastern Europe... None to be found locally. Mostly NIMBYs.

You care somehow because you straight forward and honest.

Looks can and are very deceiving in this world, some people will step over your dead body to get what they want.

A lot of people don't care about others. I can tell this by their passive aggressive behaviours.

but no one can be helped who doesn't want to first help themselves, so keep looking for the key to open the door to the positive. It's there and the crucial place to find it is in living a life of service because the human race is one family.

Go tell someone that cares. I don't care whether or not you care.
