My mom has recently been diagnosed with cancer. They don’t know how bad yet, but it is a serious type. I can’t stop thinking that I still need my mom. I know it’s selfish, but my siblings have children and partners. It’s just me. I’m in my early thirties and I have friends and lovers and a good job, but I’ve never felt more alone.

To understand young people going through greif unknowingly relate the loss or impending loss to the value of what it would cost them. Be nicer try understanding, than maybe you can teach instead of impeach. Shsst. Disappointing.

Friends and family if you Mom gets worse. Think positive and be there for her as much as she was there for you but also make sure your siblings share in the care too. This all happened to me on my 30th, except both my mom & aunt passed one day a part. Humour helps too. Take care

So sorry

I’m sorry that you’re going through that, and sorry that some people on here are such jerks. It’s very scary when someone you love is diagnosed with cancer. Remember that people do survive it though; more and more all the time. Just know that there’s still hope, and know that complete strangers such as me are sending you virtual hugs.

No matter what age, we love and need our Moms. i totally feel for you.
i just lost my Mom 3 years ago, her age 79. me 50, and i still miss her everyday. and it was devasting as we had just moved here for a new chapter in life.
she was such a kind, sweet simple loving soul.
ill never get over the timing and what we went thru. but im grateful for having her.
cherish the time with your Mom. do what you can for her to make her time fun (like going thru old photos play her fav music etc) .

also use the app in your phone to records some nice conversations so you can here her voice later. including some I Love You's
