I'm beginning to think

I'm not as likable as I'd like to believe. Why else is it so hard to make plans with the people I know? It's a tough pill to swallow. I am so lonely and I want to change, but I don't know how.

Hiding in your small apartment from something only you know what and refuse to ask for help. Get out have fun your a very fun person( I'm guessing becaus" likeable as I thought" suggest it was a previous personality triat) by your use of the word likeable. So ask someone your close to who is an actual positive force in your current life style and say man I'm down because being alone or just always at my place is feeling more like prison than a home.

Ignore Yes. Just another troll pretending you're someone they know.

I'd suggest asking one/some of those people to give you an honest explanation as to why it seems like your friends/acquaintances don't seem to want to spend time with you.

Vancouver's weird. If you go someplace like Europe or the States were people are more extroverted you will see that you're normal and Vancouver is abnormal.

I've confronted some friends about this. Turns out they are too busy with their their independent business or family. Or both. Oh well.

Many of my friends have partners, some also have kids, also careers, and other things and sadly I see that happen moreso when people settle down especially women due to childrearing etc. and some just forgetting friends completely or hanging out with other couples.

I got fed up and joined different meetup groups and thought I'd try being proactive and meet new people. although it's taken time as it is Vancouver, I've met cool people, and some good friends. I'd suggest Meetup and joining other clubs, hobbies. Yes people often give this advice, but it does take effort. Meetup is great to connect with people with similar interests to from concerts, activities, and so on. Good luck. You can do this. Also I'm finding that I book with my friends that have partners etc., weird work schedules and kids and with friends in general ahead of time for events. Like Halloween for instance, and booking friends for things now for later dates.
