It’s not even October and I’m already dreading Christmas. Wish it could be done away with entirely

Baby Jesus isn't impressed with your lack of enthusiasm for His birthday.

Dread Christmas and yes, I’m among them.
For me it gets extremely melancholy with memories of childhood and my horribly dysfunctional family.

I love Christmas....

Someone is already complaining about Christmas. Maybe take your sour grapes on holiday during that time. Some of us look forward to it as the best celebration of the year, with the best food ever!! And with my favourite people! Dang even just the twinkly lights make it worthwhile.

You CAN do away with it. What you CAN'T do is force everyone else to join you. You have lots of time to ignore Christmas. Or ... just tell everyone you're going away, stock pile food and drink and don't answer your phone. Drop out of site if you choose, but don't spoil everyone else's party.

I just skip town and head into the back country - no phone, just my emergency radio. It's super peaceful.

Agreed

It really is the worst holiday. I’m so excited this year though because I’m not working in retail anymore!!! God customer service is a soul sucking piece of shit job during the holidays.

I always look forward to Christmas/New Years because people are (usually) so much nicer.
