Music Makes a Difference

I think French electro-pop should be marketed as an anti-depressant. I listened to it by accident, and now I feel amazing. I feel amazing.

Latin is the maaageek...
Always a delight to hear from places where most lives are probs less prosperous than mine, yet they are playful and upbeat.
If I wanted someone to feel my pain, trance is a much better fit - Room for Happiness, I Remember, Alone, Human Reactor, and most of the rest, really.
Country gives me gas (must be all the coal-rolling), and rock is just as whiny and narcissistic (looking at you, too, emo and grunge) as modern pop. Which includes R&B and hip hop, because Kanye & company is just more first-world, privileged-rich-boy problems. Thus why he and The Duhnald are such great friends.
When they're not pretending to be all "hard thug", that is.

Hawaiian Music

I could listen to Hawaiian music all the day. The sounds of a Ukulele make me smile and bring me lots of happiness. A Uke for me is relaxing.

French79 - just put a massive smile on my face and gave me this huge jolt of happy energy when I needed it.
Glad some of the posters here totally get it. I love all different kinds of music, and when I go too long without listening to something...when I come back and listen to a song I'm kind of shocked at what an effect it has on my mood and outlook on life.
Music therapy, mes amis.

@anynames
Probably won't make sense unless one is a former dj, or similarly musically afflicted.
I'll call out just three - two from EDM and one from Latin.

For depressing stuff - Reckless (Gareth Emery featuring Wayward Daughter)
For letting go - I Remember (Deadmau5 & Kaskade featuring Haley Gibby)
Particularly the lyrics.
For bouncy things - Con Calma (Daddy Yankee featuring Snow; there's a Katy Perry remix, too)
