I want to get married and have children and be a great mom. That's what I want. I am tired of people saying I should be "leaning in" and being some type of social crusader. I understand that there are a lot of social issues but I just don't have the time to go to every disorganized protest with 50 different messages.
I just want a family and to be a great mom and that's enough for me.

It's either "Xena, Social Warrior Princess" or "Domestic Goddess" for you?
I see quite a few couples with kids at marches about issues that will determine what kind of futures their kids will have. You may find yourself wearing both hats anyways.
(BTW, you sound like you'd make a good mom.)
Woohoo

How you see it

If I’m thinking about this from one angle I’d say that we are all here to experience life and you can do whatever the heck you want. Just enjoy life and be a good mom. However, when I think of kids in cages, kids marching and organizing protests against guns and climate change, and the massive inequality in this world I think... why bring a kid here unless you were fighting for a solution? Help them organize for their rights so that they don’t have to do the work that you should have done.
Climate Change Is Your Priority.

If you want to bring a child into this world and you want them to have a future, you better get environmentally conscious. We are in the Anthropocene, or the Holocene extinction, aka the 6th mass extinction. This isn't fear mongering, we are in trouble. Just because it's nice outside it doesn't mean biospheres aren't collapsing. We have a decade to sort this out. Do a little research and see what happens to a society after it collapses. It's terrifying.

My mom (an only child) just wanted to have kids too. By the time I was 10 I had become too sophisticated for her and I had learned not to ask her for any help for anything more complex than a snack. Me and most of her other kids don't have kids.
But you are great

And the world needs you to save it from...itself. Relax, listen to your heart beat...kids will happen in good time. Go where you're needed; or stay where you're needed in your case
Well

If you wanted to do something positive for the world. You wouldn't have children.

I don’t see what protests have to do with this, but while we are on the topic, good thing you don’t mind having kids that will grow up to live in a food-insecure, climate ravaged dystopian future.
