Bryan Adams

When I was 20 I really liked the song Run To You by Bryan Adams. I thought the video was kinda cool too when he ran to that the women. I listened to it again recently at age 40 and I realized that the song is about a guy who cheats on his wife or girlfriend. I thought it was a love song. I find it amusing that I got it ALL wrong. Maybe a lot people do too.

Raspy screechy and righteous. At 60 I realized straight from the heart what earlier eluded me

The song is about his guitars. It's in the video, and I recall an interview years ago that is what he and Jim Vallance stated.

Its more of a homage in a series of songs ("You're the one that always turns me on & keep me comin' 'round") about the 69 Prechopper Kid, that Bryan has been on the run from ever since that fateful day in late summer of 70 at the Queensway Drive-In Theater. The best story never told about the Beacon Hill Base Brat Pack, the original non Hollywood formula Brat Pack with Tom Mapother (Tom Cruise).
Lesson...?
